Does your life . . .

• feel too busy, noisy, fast-paced?

• crowd out time to rest and tend your soul?

• deplete your reservoirs and take you to the edge of burnout?

• make it hard to hear our soul or make decisions?

Then . . .

• surprise yourself with a new kind of retreat.

Morning Retreat:

making room for a soulful pace in a hurried world

Morning Retreat is a contemplative time rooted in stillness, creativity, and listening to the Holy Spirit. It is a clearing in the woods designed to gently coax our souls out of hiding.

We meet together (in-person or virtually) to encounter God creatively through lectio divina, poetry, art, journaling, silence, and exploring our image of God. This 2-3 hour gathering centered in spiritual hospitality sets a table for the soul. If we end around a laughing table with a simple meal or a slice of pie, our happiness and healing will be multiplied.

Morning Retreat is not your typical retreat experience. It a delightful pause from our hurried world to tend your inner sanctuary. My prayer is that guests will go home clear-eyed and rested for having met with God in a spacious place.

Morning Retreat could be just the soulful rhythm you need with your small group, ministry or nonprofit team, or church staff.

“The soul is like a wild animal – tough, resilient, savvy, self-sufficient, and yet exceedingly shy. If we want to see a wild animal, the last thing we should do is go crashing through the woods, shouting for the creature to come out. But if we are willing to walk quietly into the woods and sit silently for an hour or two at the base of a tree, the creature we are waiting for may well emerge, and out of the corner of an eye we will catch a glimpse of the precious wildness we seek.”
